Stephen Quandt reflects on his trip to Chernobyl to participate in a spay/neuter and research campaign for the descendants of dogs left behind after the 1986 nuclear disaster.
Through photos and videos, Stephen shares his experiences meeting the inhabitants of the mostly abandoned town of Chernobyl City, the completely abandoned city of Pripyat, and the dogs (and cats) he encountered. He explores how radiation affects both animals and people in the exclusion zone and how the environment impacts their lives. It is a story of resilience, hope, life, and even heroism in unexpected ways.
