Strictly for grades 3-5.
During this building challenge program, participants will use everyday toys and objects to make a Rube Goldberg Machine: an overly complicated machine that completes a simple task. Work on your own or with others to discover what you can invent and achieve.
If your child is age 8 or younger, please plan to remain near the Youth program room in case your child needs assistance. Caregivers of older children are always encouraged to stay in the library as well.
If your child is not in grade 3, 4, or 5, please view our full event calendar to find a different program.
The Main Library is located in downtown Mount Prospect, next to Village Hall. The building houses an extensive collection of materials, spaces for quiet and collaborative work, several program rooms, public computers, a dedicated teen space, and engaging play area for children.
