Mount Prospect Public Library

Meeting Room A room 154

Dr. Neil Bradbury uses a combination of science, true crime, and murder mystery to delve into toxicology and the effects of poison from a cellular level in the human body.

Does your evening cocktail taste a little different? Has a spouse recently increased your life insurance policy? Has a neighbor started growing some unusual plants? Bradbury examines how poisons work to break down the human body and examines the motives of killers in plotting murder. You may see lethal umbrellas, deadly cocktails, and killer curries in this curious exploration of poisons and poisonous deeds.

Dr. Neil Bradbury is a professor of physiology and biophysics at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and author of A Taste for Poison.

This program is part of our One Book, One Village community read.
