Here's a perfect chance for grade schoolers to make or meet friends, try new things, and have fun! Each week features a themed project or experiment designed to spark curiosity and creativity.
Best for ages 7-11.
In this session, you'll get a partially pre-assembled miniature robot that will move on wheels. Decide what kind of job you want your robot to do — deliver a message or pencil across the table, push paper scraps together, or whatever else you can think of. Then customize the robot to perform that task — add googly eyes and other decorations to give your robot a personality! Please note, these bots can be switched on and off, but have no other controllable mechanisms.
Please register for only one session.
If your child is age 8 or younger, please plan to remain near the Youth program room in case your child needs assistance. Caregivers of older children are always encouraged to stay in the library as well.
The Main Library is located in downtown Mount Prospect, next to Village Hall. The building houses an extensive collection of materials, spaces for quiet and collaborative work, several program rooms, public computers, a dedicated teen space, and engaging play area for children.
