The National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) in St. Louis holds millions of military and civilian personnel records, preserving the service and careers of Americans across generations. Official Military Personnel Files (OMPFs), regimental rolls, hospital records, court-martial files, and graves registration records provide detailed insights into a veteran’s military experience.
The center also maintains records related to civilian and federal employment. Many of these files document the careers of everyday Americans — whether your grandfather served in the Civilian Conservation Corps or your mother held a government position such as Postmaster, their records may be found at NPRC.
In this virtual presentation, Beaird will guide participants through the types of records available, what information they contain, and how to access them in person, providing a valuable resource for anyone researching their family history.
This program will be presented using Zoom. Participants must register and provide a working email address to receive the login information.
