This course covers what lenders look for in a loan application, credit basics, down payments, and the key players in the homebuying process. Presented by Open Communities, a fair housing agency.

This program is presented as a part of the Financial Fitness 2026 series. Financial Fitness 2026 is a free online series designed to help you make informed financial decisions with confidence. Presented by BIG (Business Interest Group), a network of business librarians committed to providing reliable information, the series features practical insights and expert advice from experienced financial professionals.

The Main Library is located in downtown Mount Prospect, next to Village Hall. The building houses an extensive collection of materials, spaces for quiet and collaborative work, several program rooms, public computers, a dedicated teen space, and engaging play area for children.
