Over a billion people from many countries, cultures, and backgrounds worldwide celebrate Diwali. Though celebrating this holiday may look different for different families, Diwali is a time to celebrate good overcoming evil, symbolized with candles, fireworks, and many other traditions throughout the five-day holiday.

Experience captivating stories of Diwali through music, drama, and dance with the Dancing Petals company.
No registration required. This is an open house format program. Drop in anytime and stay as long as you like. Last entry is 15 minutes before the program end time. Please note there may be small pieces and adult guidance is encouraged. While supplies last. This drop-in event is allergy-friendly; no food will be served.

The Main Library is located in downtown Mount Prospect, next to Village Hall. The building houses an extensive collection of materials, spaces for quiet and collaborative work, several program rooms, public computers, a dedicated teen space, and engaging play area for children.
