Mount Prospect Public Library

Youth Program Room Combined room 119

Squeezing in a quick library run? Time your visit so your grade-schooler can meet up with other kids at the same time for games and projects!

Best for ages 8-11.

Create a Harry Potter-themed craft inspired by J.K. Rowling's magical world. We’ll explore and nurture a mystical plant that feels like it belongs in Professor Sprout’s greenhouse. No need to have read the books, just bring your imagination.

About Supercharged Summer programs: each week, we'll play a game and make a STEM or craft project loosely related to a popular book, but no prior reading is required and the program will not focus on the book. Participants will have opportunities to chat about the book while they craft, and we will display read-alike books available for checkout.

Please register for only one session. If your plans change and you prefer a different time option, please send an email to sbattle@mppl.org, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

If your child is age 8 or younger, please plan to remain near the Youth program room in case your child needs assistance. Caregivers of older children are always encouraged to stay in the library as well.
If your child is age 7 or younger, please check out our Fun With Friends program.
