Learn how to create objects using Tinkercad, a digital-design computer software.
Strictly for grades 3-5.
We'll teach you the software and how to submit designs to the library to print. Then, you'll work on a new design in Tinkercad while the 3D printer works. This program requires attendees to have basic computer skills.
If your child is age 8 or younger, please remain near the Youth department in case your child needs assistance. Caregivers of older children are always encouraged to stay in the library as well.
Registration opens 9 a.m. Saturday, February 15. Please visit or call the Youth desk at 847-590-3320. If you leave a voicemail, include the child's name and grade, your phone number, and your email address. If there are openings, we will add them to the registration list and contact you to confirm.
If your child is not in grades 3, 4, or 5, please view our full event calendar to find a different program.
The Main Library is located in downtown Mount Prospect, next to Village Hall. The building houses an extensive collection of materials, spaces for quiet and collaborative work, several program rooms, public computers, a dedicated teen space, and engaging play area for children.
