Did you know that people have been using beads for more than 120,000 years? Learn how people throughout the world use beads, then craft a simple sewn-bead framed artwork perfect for gift-giving.
Best for ages 4-11 with an adult.
Children will use large beads with burlap and plastic needles for their creations. If they prefer, older children may use tiny beads with muslin and a sharp needle.
Please note there may be small pieces and adult guidance is encouraged.
The Main Library is located in downtown Mount Prospect, next to Village Hall. The building houses an extensive collection of materials, spaces for quiet and collaborative work, several program rooms, public computers, a dedicated teen space, and engaging play area for children.
