In this unique program, you'll construct your own working "robot" that draws and meet the award-winning author of "A Rover's Story," a tale of a brave robot's adventures on Mars.
Best for children ages 7-14; children 11 and younger need an adult with them during the program.
Start the fun with a special 30-minute talk from Jasmine Warga, who will share inspiring words and details relating to her writing. You'll even have a chance to ask questions! Then, from 6:30-7:15 p.m., you can tinker with a toy motor, fun materials, and markers until you have a scribblebot that moves and draws the way you like. Ms. Warga will also be signing books after her talk — bring your own or purchase one at the event, available from local bookstore Booked. No purchase necessary.

The Main Library is located in downtown Mount Prospect, next to Village Hall. The building houses an extensive collection of materials, spaces for quiet and collaborative work, several program rooms, public computers, a dedicated teen space, and engaging play area for children.
