In this unique program, you'll construct your own working "robot" that draws and meet the award-winning author of "A Rover's Story," a tale of a brave robot's adventures on Mars.
Best for ages 7-14; children 11 and younger need an adult with them during the program.
From 5 - 5:45 p.m., you'll tinker with a toy motor, fun materials, and markers until you have a scribblebot that moves and draws the way you like. Create a backstory for your bot from 5:45-6. Then, from 6-6:30, Jasmine Warga will share inspiring words and details relating to her writing. You'll even get a chance to ask questions! Afterwards, she'll be signing books — bring your own or purchase one at the event, available from the local bookstore, Booked. No purchase necessary.

The Main Library is located in downtown Mount Prospect, next to Village Hall. The building houses an extensive collection of materials, spaces for quiet and collaborative work, several program rooms, public computers, a dedicated teen space, and engaging play area for children.
