Friends of the Gamelan will showcase several traditional pieces from the Central Javanese gamelan repertoire. The performance will be in the gadhon style, a chamber ensemble version of a Javanese gamelan, consisting of the soft-style instruments and vocalists. The selection of pieces date back as far as the 17th and 18th centuries.

The Main Library is located in downtown Mount Prospect, next to Village Hall. The building houses an extensive collection of materials, spaces for quiet and collaborative work, several program rooms, public computers, a dedicated teen space, and engaging play area for children.
